I am Suhas Desale, a computer engineer by qualification, at the moment, trying complete my first film, which I began abt two years back. I have been a passionate photographer for abt four years now. Hi Suhas, Nice photographs, I have started interest in Photography, Please let me know which camera brand to buy, I am confused about Nikon and Canon, can u please help. I have seen Nikon D5000 which I have been attracked too due to looks.

Get urself a Canon 500D , right now its the best cost and feature wise .
Dont be confused between Canon and Nikon both of them are equally good.

Thanks for your help, as u said both are equaly good, then should I go for Nikon D5000. Also please let me know what is the difference between Nikin D5000 and Canon 500D.

Companies , i did not compare the models . You should read the reviews ,as they will give u the best test data , u need to read a lot and dig deep before u settle for any model .
Canon 500D is diff category , Nikon D5000 is diff . I would recommend Canon 500D in this case .
